SVC/ — Consulting services
Build, run, advise.
Three kinds of work, and it is worth knowing which one you are buying. Some engagements are only one of them. Most that last become all three, roughly in that order.
BUILD/ — Build
Build.
Making something that was not there before, and handing it over in a state your team can maintain without us.
SVC/ENG
Product engineering
Applications, APIs and internal tools, built end to end and handed over in a state you can maintain.
- Web applications
- APIs and integrations
- Internal tooling
- Legacy modernisation
SVC/AI
AI deployment & automation
Getting AI into how the business actually operates — integrated, governed, and running somewhere you control.
- AI readiness review
- Document intelligence
- Knowledge assistants
- Private / self-hosted models
SVC/DATA
Data & applied AI
Pipelines and warehouses that produce numbers people trust, and LLM features that survive contact with users.
- Ingestion and pipelines

- Reporting and dashboards
- Pragmatic LLM integration
SVC/TEAM
Dedicated teams
Retained senior engineering embedded in your organisation, on your process and your tools.
- Monthly retainer

- Direct communication
RUN/ — Run
Run.
Operating and defending what already exists — the work that continues after the interesting part is finished, and that decides whether any of it holds up.
SVC/OPS
Cloud & DevOps
Infrastructure that is described in code, deployed by pipeline, and observable when it misbehaves.
- AWS / OCI / GCP architecture
- Terraform and IaC
- CI/CD pipelines
- Monitoring and alerting
SVC/NET
Network architecture
Segmentation, firewall policy, Wi-Fi, remote access and hybrid cloud connectivity — designed to be understood.
- Segmentation and VLAN design
- Firewall and perimeter policy
- Wi-Fi planning and tuning
- Cloud and hybrid networking
SVC/SEC
Infrastructure security
Hardening, identity and access, secrets, patching and resilience — the unglamorous controls that decide outcomes.
- Host and server hardening
- Identity and access
- Secrets and patching
- Ransomware resilience
ADVISE/ — Advise
Advise.
Where the deliverable is a decision rather than a system. You end up with a written recommendation you can act on yourself, hand to another firm, or ignore.
Every practice above also offers a standalone review — you are not obliged to have us do the remediation afterwards, and the report is written to be handed to whoever does. See the network review , security review , AI readiness review and architecture review .
FIT/ — Is this you?
Where we're the right call — and where we aren't.
A good fit
- You need senior capacity, continuously, without running a hiring cycle for it.
- The system already exists and needs someone who will learn it properly rather than rewrite it.
- You want one accountable person, not a team you manage at a distance.
- Infrastructure, networks and applications overlap in your problem, and you'd rather not coordinate three vendors.
- The work can be done remotely. Everything we do is remote — we don't attend sites.
A poor fit
- You need twenty engineers next month. We're small on purpose; a body shop will serve you better.
- You want the cheapest rate available. We're not it, and we won't pretend otherwise.
- You need 24×7 follow-the-sun cover with a formal SLA and a rota. We can advise on building it; we aren't it.
- The scope is fixed and the spec is final before anyone has looked at the existing system.

Three ways to buy.

Not sure which practice you need?
Most real problems cross two or three of them. Describe the situation in a few lines and you'll get a straight answer about what's involved — including if the answer is that you don't need us.
