SVC/TEAM — Dedicated teams
Engineering capacity that accumulates context.
Fixed-scope offshore projects fail predictably: the spec is written before anyone understands the system, the work crosses a timezone gap with no context, and the result is compliant with the brief and wrong for the codebase. A retained engagement inverts that.

HON/ — Being straight about it
What "dedicated team" means here.
The phrase usually implies a bench of interchangeable people behind an account manager. That is not what this is, and it would be misleading to let the industry term suggest otherwise.
BLR Code is small. A retainer buys senior time with continuity from people who will still know your system next year — which is the thing that actually makes offshore engineering work, and the thing that a large rotating bench cannot offer at any price.
Which means
- No rotation. You will not be reassigned to whoever is free this quarter
- No juniors billed as architects. The person on the call is the person doing the work
- Limited scale. If you need a large team quickly, we are the wrong firm and will tell you early
- Real capacity limits. We take on a small number of retainers so that each one is genuinely serviced
FAQ/ — Common questions
Questions we get asked.
How many engineers can you provide?
We are deliberately small. For most clients the answer is one or two senior people with continuity, not a team of ten. If you need to scale to twenty engineers next quarter, a staffing firm is the right partner and we will say so rather than take the work and subcontract it.
What hours do you work?
The working day is shifted to overlap with yours. For European clients that means four to five hours of live overlap daily. For US clients it means an early-evening India start that reaches your morning. We commit to specific hours in writing rather than promising vague flexibility.
Whose tools and process do we use?
Yours. Your repositories, your issue tracker, your review process, your deployment pipeline, your standup. We adapt to how your team already works — a retained engineer who insists on separate process is just a contractor with extra steps.
Who owns the code and the IP?
You do, from the first commit. Work is done in your repositories under a written agreement assigning all IP to you. There is no escrow arrangement, no licence-back, and nothing you need to buy out later.
What are the notice terms?
Ninety days either way after the first three months. Long enough that you are not left exposed and we are not left with a sudden hole, short enough that nobody is trapped in an arrangement that has stopped working.
What happens when the engagement ends?
Documentation, a handover period, and a working system. We write architecture decisions and runbooks as we go specifically so that leaving is uneventful. Being hard to replace is not a business strategy we are interested in.
CTA/ — Retained work
Thinking about ongoing capacity?
Tell us what the work looks like month to month and roughly how much of it there is. We'll tell you honestly whether a retainer fits, or whether you'd be better served hiring.
